Introduction to Health Advocacy. This course has been formatted to allow you to take it at your own pace AND have on line discussion with other students and the instructor.

Here's how the course works:

1. Purchase the course on buy clicking the "buy now" button and complete your payment  by PayPal or using a major credit card

2. Once your payment has been received you will be added to the on line enrollment and will be able to access discussion groups online.

3. You will be e-mailed your course materials which will include complete instructions, links to reading materials, the reading/movie list and the discussion questions.

4. There are six modules in this course. You can move ahead at your own pace and will be sent a new module each time you complete one. Once you have successfully completed all 6 modules you will be sent a certificate of completion that you can submit to your professional organization for continuing education credit and a certificate of completion.

5. There will be an online discussion section for each module. You will be sent the URL address to type into your browser with your instructions and first module. You can access and interact with other students taking that module any time 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.   This 6 module course is the same content as the six week on line course that we offer to colleges and universities. Because of the high cost of college tuition HALO is offering these courses directly to you for only $99 per course. Our first course, Introduction to Health Advocacy, will be followed by our other course listings. By making health advocacy learning more affordable we hope to expand the number of well prepared health advocates.

Materials Fee for College Courses

      
In addition to a hard copy text, all courses require a license to access electronic courses materials. Essentially, these are textbook materials that have been converted to an electronic format and are included in the university or college course materials.

If you are taking HALO health advocacy course at a college or university and need to purchase a materials license

Once you have completed the registration process at the college or university, you will be directed to the site to complete your course enrollment and materials license. This is a PayPal © site and requires a credit card to complete the purchase. Once purchased, your completed registration will be sent to your college and your password will give you access to the courses
